Spooky and definitely made my skin crawl on a few occasions!
The movement of the spider and the sounds it makes when it’s near is spot on. I think if you wanted to ramp up the horror, you could focus more on the amount of sounds you can hear in the mine, and how aggressive the spider is. Some ambient sound of it running in the distance or it hitting things over for example; Making use of how sound would travel/echo down there. After the initial creepiness it’s pretty easy to get rid of the spider and get out of line of sight. Maybe some objects makes sounds and summons the spider, it can see you from further away and chases you for longer (with more sprint that 4-5 seconds). That along with maybe 1-2 extra jump scares (webbed up body falling for example) will really help the creepiness factor!
A few bugs (or arachnids) though. Mainly with the world turning into a void in chapter 3 and the cutscene freezing up, but changing the frame rate to v-sync and quality to low did fix the first one.
Overall good stuff, here’s hoping the next game is even creepier!
SILK was great. The mine setting was creepy, the giant spider was terrifying, and being hunted through those dark tunnels kept the tension high the whole time.
This was a fun horror game my dude! Really well put together and entertaining! I did like the graphics and the sound effects! It was fun getting all the parts for the door and then for the TNT, that damn spider was brutal! Always showing up and chasing, it was super fast but fair! It was nice you dont loose the items you found if caught! Im so curious about the next chapters! I really enjoyed this game and recommend completely! Here is my gameplay video! :)
I loved this. I’m normally not scared of spiders but oh my god was this one terrifying. It’s a short game but definitely worth a look. The only suggestion I have is to allow us to turn the flashlight off sometimes because when we get close to walls or doors and things like that it’s very bright. Otherwise, great work!!
Hi, whenever I hit chapter 3, most of the level refuses to load, I've tried to change all the settings and have redownloaded it several times with no luck. Just a black voice with random props.
EDIT: It seems changing the frame rate to v-sync and the quality to low fixed it somehow. May be worth looking at!
Great game I really enjoyed playing it! It wasn't as difficult as I expected but the gameplay was still captivating. I'm really glad the game auto saved after I placed the TNT because I got cornered right at the end 😭

And i want u to make Mr. Hopp's Playhouse 3 for free on PC, on ITCH.IO. can you do that? Cuz.. i downloaded it from GOGUNLOCKED, and IT GAVE ME VIRUSES 💀💀💀💀💀💀 but good news, my big sister made the virus go to recycle, and 6 days later, i saw it in the bin. then i deleted it. i have WINDOWS11.
For a short horror game, this was FLAWLESS!! Really scary and made very well for it only being about 20 minutes long! Super excited for you to keep branching outside of Mr. Hopps!

Game won't record on obs for some reason, obs shows the exe for audio and video, but neither seem to actually record.
Same here. Record with 'Display Capture' instead, that worked for me.
